keeping busy

Been keeping busy, doing some project here and there.

A skirt pin with czech beads, faux pearls and new jade.

Using tegusu like the stuff used for fishing, strung up some odds and ends to make a long necklace.

Using nylon cord wire, strung up new jade, orange avent, blue lace, rose quartz & aragonite with czech beads and faux pearls to make a necklace.

With the scraps from the legs of my chino pants, I combined them with this Marimekko print to make a reversible shoulder bag.

Cute bag. I'm currently sewing a market bag and cutting sleeves off of old t-shirts and reconstructing them into sleeveless shirts or tank tops. I'll have to post about it.

Thanks Suze, I made a bag with the top part of the chino pants awhile back and used the legs for the lining for this one :) Look forward to seeing more of your creations.

Take care.

Oh a bag! :))) Love bags. And I need a scarf pin! Where did you get the finding for making a scarf pin? Is the raw finding called "scarf pin" over there?

Thank you Beadexplorer! I think they call it "scarf pin" here. I bought it online and it was listed under metal parts.

Take care.

I find that I have lots of beads and don't know what to do them. You have made some simple and great necklaces.

I'm trying to make a lariat, a necklace which is attached two fringed end in the centre. Suffering from artist block at the moment. Peyote is my favorite bead stitch by it takes ages.

Yes Chimerastone, peyote does take a while to do, I hope you get to finish all your projects.

Take care

Lovely work. I especially love the Marimekko print bag!

Thank you Melanie! I was in the Marimekko store and was appalled with the price of their bags. I remembered I had a Marimekko print and tried making my own bag :)

Take care.

Thanks for stopping by! You make such GORGEOUS things! :D I really need to get back into crafting. I can't remember the last time I made anything. Just worried about SO many things right now (dog, my medical stuff, my job stuff) just kind of put it off. Lately the only time I bust out da sewing machine is to fix something for my boss, or hem jeans, and I've gotten so chunky (OOPS) that I got tired of new jeans no longer fitting, so stopped buying jeans and only buy stretchy comfy mom pants now. BWAHAHAHAAA.
I did a little beading, nothing that looks like yours of course, knit and I think I forget how to crochet already LOL

Thanks Debi, I need to get back into crafts too, so many unfinished stuff lying around gather dust :( hopefully get up some energy to do some soon!

Take care.

That new jade, quartz necklace is gorgeous (and such a great way to use lots of different beads)!!

Thanks Jude, I really need to find more projects to use up what beads I have (and I have a LOT!)

Take care.
