I can't wait to see the finished helix. This technique drove me crazy when I tried it out but my book did not say to knot the thread between the beads. Just hang the thread in. In the meantime, I have seen both variations in books. Do you knot the thread?
I'm working on an African helix stitched necklace. Should be finished soon.
Here's another scarf I crocheted, this yarn was a bit more difficult to use but I think it looks like a fun scarf.
